about

Autism Awareness in Iceland, 2nd of April 2013.

lyrics

English translation:

Do not be afraid of being different,
you are coolest by far the way you are.
If you strain yourself to become something else
you won't recognise your true self anymore.

What kind of life is it, tip-toeing, censoring yourself,
trying to behave normally, being afraid of rejection...?
You are defenseless without the knowledge.
Need to go into hiding because you are inappropriate.

What kind of life is it to wear a mask all day long,
too afraid to take it off.. (know you'll get rejected)?
You are defenseless without the publics awareness.
Must live in shame because you are crazy, inconsiderate..

I know it's hard to quit this hide and seek
(throw away your false identity),
hope that the world accepts you the way you are...
